I have always painted with a spontaneous passion for colour, design and creativity.
My approach encompasses a romantic style in many mediums. I worked as a fashion and textile designer throughout Australia and New Zealand. The culmination of my designing career came in 1980 when I won the Western Australian Wool Board Award.
I continued working in Australia and internationally until 1991 when I changed my direction to have a freer approach to my creativity. This took in watercolour painting, designing and painting on silk. It was in 1993 that I took the plunge and opened an art gallery and tea rooms in an historic building in the mountain township of Healesville, Victoria. This was a great success with many artworks being purchased by collectors from countries including the UK, United States, South America, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, South Africa, Israel and Turkey.
I have recently decided to move on and concentrate on my artwork at the studio 'Arte on Yarra' with a manifesto - A Return to Enchantment. My work reflects a freedom of expression and unique, bright and happy, vibrant style which continues to evolve.
